Wood for Work is an affiliated company of SMC Synergy with its owner having more than 30 years' experience in natural resource management and the use of geo-informatics in mapping and monitoring.

Our vision is sustainable job creation through the restoration of rangeland, degraded by bush encroachment or alien woody vegetation.

Wood for Work is owned by Dirk Pretorius and although a young company the affiliation to SMC Synergy and experienced partners provides the foundation for the successful implementation of woody biomass management and value adding projects. This would be achieved through partnerships with academic, private as well as governmental institutions.
